FlyEase x Winter Olympics
Concept Innovator. Creative Collaborator. Design Strategy.
Athletes of all abilities need apparel that supports and adapts to their individual bodies. To design specifically for these needs, I researched, designed, collaborated, and launched FlyEase apparel's universal design thinking and product internal toolkit.
Nike’s 2022 Winter Olympics apparel showcased the toolbox’s inclusive design principles and methods, driving accessible solutions in one of the most inclusive, innovative, and sustainable winter kits ever engineered.
The Process
Working with over 50 adaptive athletes* to gather edge case user case studies the team explored a range of product solution to mitigate apparel challenges. Everyone needs more ease in their lives which led to a universal design toolkit.
In collaboration with cross-functional design and development partners we brainstormed unique fits, storage solutions, trims, and wearing experiences to create a myriad of solutions that bring ease and support athletes* to be their best.

The Details
The 2022 Winter Olympic collection featured:
An oversized zipper pull helps athletes of all dexterities get in and out of the jackets with ease. Magnetic closures help the zippers come together at the base.
Pockets are secured with fish-trap technology to secure phones, wallets, keys and other personal items without the need for a zipper. The jackets also have side-vent zippers that allow for extra flexibility, particularly for wheelchair athletes.
A quick-release magnetic buckle, the“first-of-its-kind” feature, and oversized zipper pull highlight the trail pants.
