FlyEase x Kids’ Pack

Athletes* of all abilities and ages need apparel that supports and adapts to their individual bodies. To design specifically for these needs, we researched, designed, collaborated, and launched FlyEase apparel's universal design thinking and product internal toolkit.
Nike’s Kids’ Play Pack collection of tops, jackets, hoodies, and pants for big kids apparel showcased the toolbox’s inclusive design principles and methods. These accessible solutions that make it fast and simple to get products on; incorporate one-handed functionality; provide secure pocket storage; and make the apparel work for kids with disabilities too.

The Process
Working with over 50 adaptive athletes* to gather edge-case consumer insights, we heard key asks and explored a range of product solutions to mitigate apparel challenges. Everyone needs more ease in their lives, which led to the create of the FlyEase universal apparel design toolkit.
In collaboration with cross-functional design and development partners we brainstormed, sketched, designed and created a wide range of solutions with unique fits, storage solutions, trims, and improved wearing experiences to support athletes* and their caretakers to go play with ease.













The Details
Our North Star in apparel product is accessible with one hand in the easy-to-cinch, auto-locking drawcord.
Pockets are deep and secured with fish-trap technology to protect treasures—keys, rocks they’ve found, toy cars—so they won’t fall out and get lost when playing.
The poncho fits with full coverages and allows for extra flexibility, particularly for wheelchair athletes.
